How I Can Help You
To start off with, your instincts or gut feeling already know something is up, something is not going well or not working out and something is on your mind.
You don’t really need to know what it is.
Maybe just start with “Something is up”.
Your curiosity of this is all we need to get started.
Some things can feel scary or vulnerable to bring up and confiding in someone else is hard to do.
Finding someone you can trust is most important, to be able to feel comfortable with the person that you are about to share with.
I pride myself on providing that secure space for you. It is the basis of all good relationships.
A common question is “How long does counselling take?”
My answer is “Shall we start and see where it goes?”
I enjoy working with anyone, with any issue you might have. I especially enjoy people that have seen many others and still haven’t felt that they have been fully helped. Or you may have a ‘diagnosis’ that doesn’t make sense to you or you’ve been on medications that don’t seem to work in the long term.
I would love to give you another perspective, another angle or at least be someone you can ‘run it past’ and see what I think.
My counselling approach is guided by you. You know you better than anyone. I enjoy getting to know you, sit with you & listen to how things are for you. Then we can both become curious about why things seem to be the way they are for you.
It takes time to get to know someone and I’m interested in getting to know you. Giving you time for me to understand you.
You can bring any issue, concern, problem, feeling or emotion to your counselling session and we can both talk through them. The more you share, the more we will find out who you are and how you would like to change.
So, who do I work with?
Anyone.
Individuals or couples
And how can I help?
I would enjoy finding out with you
I do NOT work with children under 18 years though, sorry.
