Why choose a counsellors and not a psychologist?
Counsellors are qualified professionals. Psychologist have become the main mental health practitioner that people may be directed to for help with mental health issues, mostly referred by your GP.
But in many cases, a counsellor may be a better starting place. You do not need a GP referral to see a counsellor and they will usually be available and cheaper.
My counselling approach starts with listening to your concerns and making sure you are safe. Then we can work together on finding ways to understand more of what is going on for you.
I ask questions and listen to you in a way that is compassionate, non-judgmental, safe and confidential.

What concerns can I help you with?
Grief, loss & bereavement (including suicide bereavement).
Psycho-Dynamic Therapy - This is taking a complete look at ‘Who You Are’. What makes you, you.
Most of our adult concerns come from our past experiences. We find out what your life has been like and connect that with what may be going on for you now. This can be a life changing and eye opening experience, which may explain where your mental health issues have come from.
